Holly is a 7 year old Labrador cross who needed our help in March 2009.

Holly was out walking with her owners one afternoon when she ran off.  After a while her owners heard a yelp and Holly re-appeared with a huge piece of wood sticking out of her back leg. Nobody knows exactly what happened - except Holly!!

Holly’s owners contacted the surgery immediately and were informed to bring her in straight away. They were told NOT to remove the wood just in case it had damaged any major blood vessels.

Holly arrived at the practice and was rushed into surgery straight away where the troublesome piece of wood was removed successfully by veterinary surgeon Hannah Holmes.

Luckily for Holly no serious damage was caused and she bounced back making a full recovery!!

Everyone was amazed how quickly Holly recovered and how calmly she coped with the trauma of her injury.
