Leyla Turan Veterinary Surgeon
Leyla has recently joined us as a Veterinary Surgeon.
Leyla graduated from University of Bristol in 2008 - BVSc and also obtained a BSc Animal Behaviour and Welfare. Leyla is one of our small animal vets - as well as medicine and surgery her special interest is behavioural medicine as she loves pet psychology - dogs, cats, rabbits, indeed all small animals!
After graduating Leyla travelled and took part in a charity neutering trip in Greece before joining Summerhill in June 2009.
Leyla works at Summerhill Veterinary Centre, our practice in Blackwood, Summerwood Veterinary Surgery and also works on our behalf at Cardiff Dogs Home.
Leyla grew up on a smallholding with a menagerie of dogs and cats, chickens, ponies, cows, sheep and goats. Her current pets are a moggie called Louis (rehomed from Summerhill) and a brand new border terrier pup!!
Hobbies include: drinking coffee, swimming and spinning at gym, walking, live music, learning Turkish and foreign travel!
