It shouldn't happen to a vet! Not in Newport anyway!

Small animal vet Sophie's steady stream of small furry pets was interrupted by a patient in need of urgent stitching.

Princess Ariel the three month old Jacob's Sheep had cut her leg.  Being a show sheep appearances are important!

Bank Holiday Monday sees Princess Ariel's debut at the Somerset Show. Sophie and veterinary nurse Mandy quickly got to grips with the Jacob's Sheep and she was hoisted onto the consulting table, stitched and dressed and was ready to go home before she became too boisterous.

Princess Ariel was a model patient, absolutely gorgeous and very well-behaved, if not a little bit louder than the patients Sophie and the Summerhill vets are used to treating!

All the staff at Summerhill wish Princess Ariel the very best of luck at Somerset Show!
