Summerhill Vets Services - Flea & Worm Treatments
We believe that keeping your pet healthy is the most important thing that we can do to help you enjoy your pets company. While most people know about fleas and can see if they have an infestation * it’s not quite so obvious with worms. Your pet could be infected with worms which could affect you and you may not see them or know about it. For this reason we recommend routine worming of all pets. Not all wormers are the same, so please ask your vet or nurse about which product you should use and how often. Together we can formulate a plan to keep your pet or pets worm free.
Actually fleas aren’t that simple either! Although we can see if there is a major infestation, we may miss a minor flea problem. It is certainly easier to treat a small problem than a large one. With fleas, we aim to treat the existing problem, treat to stop it from coming back and then take steps to prevent another infection. Ask your vet or nurse for a control programme.
* Due to a recent change in legislation, Veterinary surgeons are now allowed to dispense medications against prescriptions. We must have the original written prescription before we can dispense any medication.
