Gareth Ford, Senior Veterinary Nurse
Gareth first came to Summerhill on work experience from school in 1991. In 1997 Gareth became a Registered Veterinary Nurse and worked his way up to Nurse Manager taking over from Julia. Gareth’s professional interests are Emergency and Critical Care Nursing, Anaesthesia and Clinical Nutrition.
Gareth is also a qualified Veterinary Nurse NVQ Assessor, Verifier and Lecturer and has trained a number of our nurses here at Summerhill, together with many other students at Pencoed College over the years.
Gareth qualified as a Staff Nurse in 2009 and now works in human nursing, however he is still present in the practice as a Registered Veterinary Nurse covering holidays and undertaking in-house training for the nursing and reception staff.
Gareth's pets include George the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the cats Homer, Aggie and Tobias.
